Who is Freya in Mythology?
The Title of this Video is "The Messed up Origins of Freya, Goddess of Love and War: Norse Mythology Explained"
A Short Description of Freya
According to mythology, Freya is a complex character who aims to seek pleasure and passion. She also influences death, magic, war, and fertility. The Vikings saw her as a powerful force, "comparable to Thor and Odin in Norse mythology."
Freya is often shown wearing a golden necklace and sitting in a chariot pulled by cats. She loved gold, amber, and flowers. There are plants associated with her including almond, arnica, bedstraw, benzoin, burd berry, clover, cypress, English daisy, hemp, hemp henbane, holly, mistletoe, mugwort, opium poppy, primrose, rose, and strawberry.
I had made another blog with the title "The Pagan Origin of Cats" about Freya but I deleted it since it contained pictures and I didn't have the rights to show it but you can see it if you google Freya and cats. The meme said "Freya, goddess of love, sex, beauty, fertility, gold, war, death, witchcraft, and cats." Another meme said, "Freya if you Can't Lay Em, Slay Em." These two memes clearly show what Freya is all about. Also, the above video explains more about Freya.
Somewhere else I read that because of Freya the Vikings knew women the best. More on this later.
